Dr. Elzie Chan-Englender

 is a Forest Hills native. She Attended P.S. 220, Halsey Junior High School and Forest Hills High School. She received her doctorate in optometry in 2002 from the Illinois College of Optometry. Since then, she has gained experience through a variety of practices.

She spent the first couple of years at a retail optical and at a specialty contact lens practice. She then devoted the following seven years to a private ophthalmology practice in Lower Manhattan, where she provided primary eye care, pediatric eye care, laser vision correction testing, glaucoma and cataract eye care, and contact lens fitting. She also spoke biweekly at a live radio station (1480 AM) for over 4 years answering callers’ questions and discussing popular eye care topics.


Christine Cynthia Sarabia

A veteran of optical industry in New York for 25 years, manages STATION SQUARE EYES.  Coming from a pedigree family of optometrists and ophthalmologists, she happens to be the granddaughter of Dr. Federico Sarabia ( the first optometrist in the Philippines). Christine  brings the energy, dedication and innovation that made her family name a hallmark for eye care excellence in the Philippines since the early 1900s.  Her knowledge, skills and most of all, her genuine concern for customer service satisfaction makes her a formidable leader of the team.   As Operations Manager, a position she held since 1995 under Sol Moscot Opticians, Christine leads the change to bring STATION SQUARE EYES the recognition as Forest Hills’ leading vision care center.  She is also a professional musician, playing percussions with friends on and off stage every chance she gets.




Marina Plotkin   a Forest Hills native, is a licensed optician who earned her degree in 1988. Her impressive knowledge and experience in lens technology has garnered her the respect of colleagues. She started working in prominent optical shops in Manhattan.  In 1992, Sol Moscot Opticians opened in Forest Hills and she welcomed the opportunity. Marina brings her expertise through serving the community for nearly    18 years. As a mother of 3, she brings her maternal instinct and care in   day-to-day dealings with the clients.



Geeni   frame stylist and contact lens coordinator, lends her sophisticated taste in assisting customers in their selection of fashionable functional eyewear. She is the key resource on “what’s new” in contact lenses. Up and about on her 4″ high heels, she serves the clients with genuine compassion and efficiency.

Geeni has been in the industry for more than 25 years and loving it!


Javin "J" Garciawho was trained to be a political scientist in the Philippines yearned for more interaction with people beyond the boundaries of a degree.  Prior to his move Javin worked for a decade in his family owned orchard as the overall administrator.  His unique interactions to people and his talented voice made him a lead singer in a band called 80prroof.   Currently a Manhattan transplant, he travels to Forest Hills to crunch numbers and hopes to ensure each person he meets gets maximum service and satisfaction.  His witty ways and cheerful candor makes him the perfect patient coordinator in the store.  In his spare time, he goes about his foodie adventures in the city or maybe just doing laundry

Boston Dolina frame stylist and assistant frame buyer, has worked in the optical business for over a decade. She has an unerring knack to choose the perfect frame to compliment one’s face.

With a Fine Arts degree, Boston creates a balanced artistry in store’s decor and display. Her exceptional taste is a valuable plus. Boston is also an acclaimed alto singer with an impressive repertoire and memorable performance credits.




Diana Iskhakovaa patient coordinator and frame stylist. This fashionista's sense of style adds a young, edgy, and fun vibe to Station Square Eyes. She has a way of selecting a frame that adds a dash of fashion forward flavor, while still staying true to one's personal style. On her days off she is working on her masters program in Childhood Education, in hopes of one day becoming a teacher who will help contribute to a brighter and successful future.
